I heard something on the radio that caught my attention the other day. A group of researchers asked the question, " What brings depression and self loathing the loss of a job, the loss of a loved one, or divorce." While all of these things are emotionally hard. The one that caused the most hurt and depression, was job loss. Which raises the question to me, Where are our priorities? It is very sad that we live in a time, where money and control mean more than our family. If we trust God to take care of us, why should we worry about a job. I am without a job for the moment, and excited about what God will bring my way. I have had some bad days, but like I told a friend today, I do not want to base my happiness on money. God is good ALL THE TIME and He will take care of his children.
Matthew 6:25 (New International Version)
Do Not Worry 25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?
Matthew 6:26 (New International Version)
26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

preach it, sister!
I have found you! Speak your majesty! Your subjects eagerly anticipate the next utterance from your mouth.
Feel free to join our little circle of blogs. You are as close to kin as it gets.
Dear Jen,
I felt that I just had to come back to talk to you for a minute.
I have been so proud of you this past year. I worried about you for a while because I was afraid that you were going to freak when we closed Dixie. Instead, you gave me comfort. And in giving that comfort I saw a side of you that I didn’t really know. You had a lot going on in a short period of time and I saw you turn to God for your comfort and direction. (you haven’t always been the wise one) I have heard you talk about depending on God and mean it. I have seen you suck it up and go on when you need to suck it up. God has and will take care of all of us. We are His children. I’m His favorite when I need Him and you are His favorite when you need Him. You are precious to me. Let’s have coffee some morning soon.
UncleWesty, over and out
